About paclitaxeltaxane derivative, microtubule inhibitor(mitotic inhibitor), antineoplastic.mechanism of action of paclitaxeldrug binds specifically to the beta- tubuline and then enhances the polymerization of tubuline to stable microtubules. it also interacts directly with microtubules and stabilizing them against depolymerization, inhibits the normal recognition of the microtubule network necessary for mitosis and other cellular functions. drug act at g2/m phase of the cell cycle.indications for paclitaxel1. ovarian cancer 2. breast cancer 3. lung cancer 4. skin cancer 5. cancer of mucous membrane 6. bladder cancer 7. cervical cancer 8. endometrial cancer 9. cancer on abdomen lining 10. fallopian cancer 11. head and neck cancer 12. stomach cancer 13. prostate cancer 14. cancer of testes 15. cancer of unknown primary site
