Post-traumatic rhinoplasty

Post-traumatic rhinoplasty is done at least 6 months after the fracture of the nose, when the edema of the nose has reduced well, and the bone is well consolidated (especially in the case of fragmented fractures of the nose called comminuted fractures). They should therefore not be confused with immediate fracture reductions. Post-traumatic rhinoplasty is often more complex than cosmetic rhinoplasty, and may require the use of cartilage or bone grafts in very deformed noses (example of the boxer's nose).
