Acte : Gallium scintigraphy in Bas-Uélé

Gallium-67 is a group IIIA metal which has proved its usefulness in the search for progressive inflammatory foci. This exam allows you to:
- Diagnosis of bone, joint or disc infections. Gallium citrate should be preferred over labeled leukocytes for the diagnosis of spondylodiscitis;
- diagnosis, evaluation and follow-up of inflammatory granulomatous pathologies such as sarcoidosis;
- diagnosis of renal involvement of certain chronic inflammatory diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus;
- localization of pulmonary and / or mediastinal, inflammatory and / or infectious pathologies in immunocompromised patients;
- long-term fever assessment in adults;
- diagnosis of toxo-allergic interstitial nephritis and distinction from acute tubular necrosis
