Orthokeratology or corneal remodeling is the elimination or reduction
temporary myopia by the adaptation of a rigid lens of special shape, having a radius flatter than that
of the cornea.
Orthokeratology lenses are
wear 6 to 8 hours at night and come off
the morning. They reshape the cornea
during sleep, which allows a
good stable vision during the day,
without having to wear glasses or
contact lenses, thus releasing
patients with wearing problems
diurnal (drought, dust, sport
aquatic, risk of loss).
