Mammary lymphoscintigraphy (sentinel lymph node)

It is performed before the surgical management of certain breast tumors. This procedure makes it possible to mark the sentinel lymph node with a radioisotope, the first lymph node relay that can be invaded by cancer cells. In the majority of cases, it is located in the axillary region ipsilateral to the breast lesion.
