Exploration of the digestive tract by ingested videocapsule
Exploration of the digestive tract by ingested videocapsule is a diagnostic procedure aimed at detecting damage to the lining of the small intestine. The examination is carried out with a videoendoscopic camera miniaturized single use that collects and transmits to a computer processing system endoscopic images. The recording is done on an outpatient basis without anesthesia. It is proposed on the one hand in the diagnosis of unexplained digestive bleeding (obscure synonym) (SDI) and on the other hand in case of suspected Crohn's disease of the small intestine.
