A lung scan, also called a lung scan, is a medical imaging test that uses low doses of radioactivity to explore two essential functions of the lungs: ventilation and blood circulation:
-Suspicion, severity assessment and monitoring of pulmonary embolism.
-A normal perfusion scintigraphy excludes embolism
-Preoperative assessment of bronchial neoplasia
-In children: search for sequelae of a foreign body
