If the tumor is small, benign in nature, not affecting visual function, not progressive, and without
intracranial extension, simple regular monitoring may suffice.
If the tumor is active, or suspected of malignancy, with signs of optic nerve damage
or the eyeball itself, and / or intracranial invasion, therapeutic management
must be active.
