Isotope cisternography

Visualization of the diffusion space of a tracer introduced into the cerebrospinal fluid under central arachnoid by suboccipital puncture (more rarely by lumbar puncture). The labeled molecule, due to its size, does not easily cross the blood-brain barrier (slow resorption).
It permits:
- Search for osteo-meningeal breach.
-Diagnosis of hydrocephalus at normal pressure.
