Artificial insemination by intrauterine or intra-cervical route

Artificial insemination aims to increase the chances of meeting the sperm and the egg. For this, we deposit - through a flexible tube (catheter) - sperm inside the female genital tract. Insemination must be done during the ovulatory period. There are two types of insemination:
-Intra-cervical insemination: when the catheter is introduced at the level of the cervix;
-Intrauterine insemination: when the catheter is introduced directly into the uterine cavity.
