About baclofenderivative of gaba ,chlorophenyl derivative, skeletal muscle relaxant,antispastic agent and in trigeminal neuralgia.mechanism of action of baclofenit inhibits both monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes at the spinal level by stimulating the gaba-b receptors, which inhibits the release of glutamate and aspartate. it may also act at intraspinal sites producing cns depression. baclofen also exerts an antinoceptive effectindications for baclofen1. spasticity in multiple sclerosis. 2. spasticity in spinal cord diseases (degenerative, traumatic, infectious or of unknown origin like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) 3. transverse myelitis 4. spastic spinal paralysis. 5. muscle spasticity of cerebral origin e.g. cerebral palsy
